Hillary has an innate perceptive ability that she’s able to summon to bring out the best in your ideas and express them with her absolutely kaleidoscopic vision and technical skill. I came to Hillary with the nearly incoherent desire for a tattoo that blends a Salvador Dali painting with a deep distrust of technology, as symbolized by the windows 95 logo. Her design floored me, as did the final tattoo, which I am giddily pleased with every time I look at it. She’s an artist who hasn’t been corrupted by social media whims, and who has developed a style distinctly her own. A tattoo from her is a work of art, not a fleeting trend.

I’ve had two rather large pieces done with Vix this year. One was a design by a calligrapher and inked by Vix, and the other one was also designed by them, inspired by their flash.
They’ve got very transparent pricing and useful documentation about what to expect. They make their space very accessible for all people and do a great job of checking in and making you feel comfortable speaking up about needing a break or having to reposition as the design is going down.
Vix is amazing with color and ended up getting some gorgeous shading on both my pieces. 10/10 would refer them to anyone who’s getting a tattoo large or small.
